Siren Sets

    Siren Sets are made up of a group of times when a siren is to be activated and for how long the siren is to sound. 

    Viewing the Siren Sets

    To view the current Siren Sets, proceed as follows:

    1. Select the Sirens option from the Setup / Clocks drop-down menu. The Browse Siren Sets window will be displayed.

        The options available from this window are:

    1. Siren Set List. This is a list of all Siren Sets that have been defined and provides the Siren Set identification number and Description of the set.
    2. Send To button. Used to print the list on a printer, save it as a file or send it to an email recipient.
    3. Add button. This button is used to define and add a new Siren Set to the list.
    4. Change button. This button is used to change the setting of a selected Siren Set.
    5. Remove button. This button is used to remove a selected Siren Set from the list.
    6. Override button. When selected, this button will cancel all Siren Sets that have been assigned to the different clocks and force the selected Siren Set to all the clocks.
    7. Mute button. When selected, this will cancel all sirens.
    8. Reset button. When selected, all the Siren Sets that were originally assigned to the clocks will be reassigned. This is normally used after the Override or Mute.
    9. Close button. Used to close the current window.

    Add a Siren Set

    To add a new Siren Set, proceed as follows:

    1. In the Browse Siren Sets window, select the Add button. The Update Siren Times window will be displayed.

    1. Enter the Siren Set number and Description that will be used to identify the particular Siren Set.
    2. To add siren times, select the Add button and the Add Siren Time window will be displayed.

    1. Enter the Siren Time for when the siren must be activated, a Description of the particular siren activation and also the Length of time (in seconds) that the siren must sound. Click on the Ok button to save the new Siren Time.

      Note: When adding a new time to the list, it will be reflected for each day of the week. Once all the required times have been added and the Siren Times have been saved then the unwanted times can be changed or removed by using the Update Siren Times window Change button. This operation is covered in Changing a Siren Set below.
       
    2. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each time the siren is to be activated within the Siren Set being defined.
    3. Once all the siren times have been added, select the Ok button to save the Siren Set and to add it to the list. 

    Changing a Siren Set

    To change a Siren Set, proceed as follows:

    1. In the Browse Siren Sets window, select the Siren Set that is to be changed and then click on the Change button. The Update Siren Times window will be displayed.

    1. To add a new Siren Time, select the Add Time button and when the Add Siren Time window is displayed, enter the new start Siren Time, Description and siren Length and then click on the Ok button to add the time.
    2. To remove a particular Siren Time, select the Siren Time to be removed and then select the Remove Time button. The selected Siren Time will be removed.
    3. To change a field within a Siren Time, select and highlight the particular field to be changed and then type on the new parameter.
    4. Once all required changes have been made to the Siren Set, select the Ok button to save the changes.

    Remove a Siren Set


    To remove a Siren Set, proceed as follows:

    1. At the Browse Siren Sets window, select the Siren Set that is to be removed and then click on the Remove button.
    2. When the delete confirmation window is displayed, select the Yes button to delete the selected Siren Set.

    Override a Siren Set

    To override all current Siren Sets that have been assigned to the different clocks, proceed as follows:

    1. At the Browse Siren Sets window, select the Siren Set that is to be used to override all currently assigned Siren Sets and then click on the Override button.
    2. A pop-up box will confirm that all clocks have been set to the selected Siren Set.

    Mute all Sirens

    To mute all sirens, proceed as follows:

    1. In the Browse Siren Sets window, select the Mute button.
    2. A pop-up box will confirm that all sirens have been muted.

    Reset all Siren Sets

    To reset all the clocks to their original Siren Sets after performing an Override or Mute operation, proceed as follows:

    1. In the Browse Siren Sets window, select the Reset button.
    2. A pop-up box will confirm that all clocks have been set to their original Siren Set.
