Editing Macro Scripts

    Viewing the Macro Scripts


    To view the list of Macro Scripts available, proceed as follows:

    1. Select the Macro Scripts option from the Setup / Shifts dropdown menu. The Browse Macro Script window will be displayed.

      The Browse Macro Script window provides the following:
    1. Macro Script Type options. These options are used to view the different macros assigned to the different category types.
    2. Macro Script List. This is a list of all available Macro Scripts for the selected Category and provides the Name and Description of the macro.
    3. Copy button. This button is used to copy and existing macro script that has been selected in the list.
    4. Send To button. Used to send the current window’s information to a printer, a file or as e-mail.
    5. Add button. This button is used to add a new macro script to the list.
    6. Change button. This button is used to change a selected and highlighted macro script in the list.
    7. Remove button. This button is used to remove a selected and highlighted macro script from the list.
    8. Print Macro button. Used to print the “code” of a selected macro script.
    9. Check Syntax. This button can be used to check the syntax of a selected macro in the list.
    10. Close button. Used to close the window.

    Adding a Macro Script


    To add a new Macro Script to the list, proceed as follows:

    1. When the Browse the Macro Script File window is displayed, click on the Add button. The Adding a Script Record window will be displayed.

    2. Type in the required Name and Description that will be used to identify the particular Macro Script in the appropriate text boxes.
    3. Use the Category select buttons and select the category to which the macro is to be assigned (Daily, Payroll or Other).
    4. In the Script box, type in the actual macro script (see Appendix E for more details).
    5. Once the script has been defined, click on the Ok button to save the macro and to add it to the list.

    Copy a Micro Script


    To copy an existing Macro Script in the list, proceed as follows:

    1. When the Browse Macro Script window is displayed, select and highlight the Macro Script to be copied and then click on the Copy button.
    2. Type in the new code for the copied macro script and then click on the Ok button to save the coped script and to add it to the list.

    Changing a Macro Script


    To change an existing Employee Limit in the list, proceed as follows:

    1. When the Browse Macro Script window is displayed, select and highlight the Macro Script to be changed and then click on the Change button. The Update Macro Script window will be displayed.
    2. Make the necessary changes and then click on the Ok button to save the changes.

    Remove a Macro Script


    To remove an existing Employee Limit from the list, proceed as follows:

    1. When the Browse Macro Script window is displayed, select and highlight the Macro Script to be removed and then click on the Remove button.
    2. When the delete confirmation window is displayed click on the Yes button to remove the selected Macro Script from the list.
